Sometimes, you run across a panel that is so beautiful, it would make a perfect quilt all by itself. So that’s what happened when Sandra came across these elephant and giraffe panels at The Quilter’s Trunk in Chicago. (If you haven’t been there, you should check them out! The entire store is decorated with elephants!) She decided to just put a little border around them and have them quilted just like that. These will be donation quilts for Carenet in the city. I used the same deep brown (walnut) colored thread for all three quilts. I had no problem coming up with 3 fantastic pantographs that gave me safari vibes. These were a lot of fun to quilt!
